Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Receives ‘The Story So Far’ Recap Video

Square Enix has released a new ‘Story So Far’ recap video for their upcoming release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the PlayStation 5, which will also serve as the first PS5 game to come across two discs. This video will be accessible from the game’s main menu upon its release on 29 February 2024, however can also be enjoyed immediately via the video linked below.

Narrated by Red XIII, a wise beast with a flaming tail and an occasional advisor to Cloud’s party, the video provides a comprehensive recap of the events from Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Accompanying the recap video, Square Enix also released ew artwork featuring Aerith and the Highwind airship. Additional screenshots have been made available, showcasing various aspects of the game, including:

  • The serene town of Kalm and the abandoned Mythril Mine.
  • The summon Kujata.
  • Combat abilities and Synergy Skills of different party members.
  • The Chocoboutique.
  • A range of side characters and more.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a standalone game following the events of Final Fantasy VII Remake. ollowing the escape of Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, and Red XIII from the dystopian city of Midgar, the story expands into the broader world where they seek to track down Sephiroth. This quest brings together a diverse group of characters, including Yuffie, the spirited ninja operative, and Cait Sith, the feline-shaped robot known for his wisecracks.

Players will lead these characters into battle while exploring reimagined versions of classic locations from the original mid-90s PlayStation 1 exclusive, Final Fantasy VII. Alongside the main storyline, the game is filled with side quests, fiend hunts, mini-games, and deep narratives about the planet’s people and cultures.
