Continuing to tide fans over until the (hopefully) eventual release of Persona 6 in the future, ATLUS and their P-Studio development division has dived into the realm of strategy/tactical RPGs with their latest spin-off offering, Persona 5 Tactica. Arguably akin to a current generation equivalent of the once Nintendo 3DS exclusive Persona Q series, this tactical RPG is now available to purchase on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
Persona 5 Tactica introduces players to a new, mysterious realm where the familiar faces of the Phantom Thieves find themselves amidst a tyrannical oppression. The game begins with a bizarre incident leading the Thieves into danger, only to be rescued by Erina, a mysterious revolutionary. Erina proposes a deal to the Phantom Thieves, to save her world from the threat of the Legionnaires, sparking a journey to uncover the truths behind her and the world they’ve stumbled upon.
The game invites players to master strategic combat and utilize the unique abilities of their Personas, character strengths and weaknesses and unique Persona-series spins on a familiar genre of RPG combat. Expect to hear more in the near future when my review of Persona 5 Tactica goes live.
Live most ATLUS games, Persona 5 Tactica is being distributed in Australia by the team at Five Star Games.
