Bethesda’s Australia and New Zealand division is gearing up to offer a series of community-centric events in conjunction with PAX Aus and Melbourne International Games Week. The gaming company aims to provide a memorable experience for their dedicated fan base. The events will highlight Bethesda’s games, including The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO), with special appearances by key developers such as ESO Creative Director, Rich Lambert, and John Johanas, Director of Tango Gameworks’, Hi-Fi RUSH.
On the evening of 5 October, just before the commencement of PAX Aus, Bethesda is hosting a free community event at the Cargo Hall in Melbourne’s Southbank. Attendees will be transported into the game realms of Necrom and Hermaeus Mora’s Apocrypha from The Elder Scrolls Online. Furthermore, the event will feature an exclusive meet and greet session with Rich Lambert, providing a rare opportunity for fans to interact with one of the creative minds behind the game. Tickets for this event are available on Eventbrite and are essential due to limited availability.
Following this kickoff, Bethesda is presenting the ‘Brushes and Brews with Bethesda‘ experience from 6-8 October 2023. Designed as a creative haven, participants are encouraged to paint scenes or characters from Bethesda’s well-known game universes including Starfield, The Elder Scrolls Online, Hi-Fi RUSH, and Fallout 76. Expert painters will lead these sessions, which are free to the public and include light refreshments and beverages. No matter the participant’s level of artistic experience, everyone will walk away with their own work of art. Registration is open on Eventbrite, with specific times designated for PAX Aus pass holders.
In addition to these experiences, Bethesda is participating in various panels. Rich Lambert and John Johanas will be part of the ‘Fireside Chat with Bethesda‘ on Saturday, October 7th at 2 PM AEDT in the PAX Quokka Theatre. Alongside them, Simon Alty, VP & Managing Director at Bethesda APAC, will discuss the evolution of PAX AUS in a separate panel scheduled for 6 October 2023 at 3:30 PM AEDT.
Hi-Fi RUSH will be featured as a playable experience on their display, amplified by Yamaha’s brand new True X Wireless Surround System. This interactive demonstration will be accessible on Xbox Series X throughout the weekend at the Yamaha stand, which will also include a variety of other interactive displays, from electronic drums and guitars to gaming audio mixers and content creator tools.
Simon Alty, VP & Managing Director, Bethesda APAC expressed Bethesda’s enthusiasm for the upcoming events, stating:
At Bethesda we’re immensely proud to have such dedicated communities for our games in Australia, fans who have joined us in countless adventures through our game worlds for decades. We couldn’t be more thrilled to pull together these community focussed events for our passionate fans during one of the best weeks of the year for gamers in Australia.
