Next INDIE Live Expo to Take Place 31 July, Focusing on Approx. 50 Games

New details have been shared about the incoming “Indie Live Expo: Summer Spotlight” showcase. This online-only event is scheduled to premiere on Monday 31 July 2023 at 2.30am PST via numerous platforms including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter Live, Niconico, and Bilibili.

Following the May showcase which featured over 300 indie games, the Summer Spotlight is meant to take a slightly different approach. A focus on quality more than quantity, this stream aims to offer more in-depth coverage of several handpicked titles across an hour-long “celebration of gaming”.

The “Summer Spotlight” is set to offer a detailed look at more than 50 games, sourced from developers and publishers across the globe. Additionally, it promises quick and compact updates in an “INDIE Waves” segment, centring on rapid-fire delivery of news.

In discussing the upcoming showcase, Ryuta Konuma, the Founder of Ryu’s Office, highlighted the inherent passion among indie developers and the uniqueness of every indie game:

Indie developers are a passionate group, and we think every indie game deserves a close look. We’re changing the formula up for Summer Spotlight to accomplish that, and we can’t wait for viewers to take a journey with us into the inner workings of our favorite submissions!
