New Street Fighter: Duel Crossover Confirmed – Devil May Cry 5

CrunchyRoll Games, the interactive gaming brand of the anime licensor/publisher is set to unite the realms of Street Fighter and Devil May Cry 5 together through a new crossover event in Street Fighter: Duel. The crossover event, titled “Devil Invasion,” will bring the demon hunter Dante into the Street Fighter: Duel as a playable character. The event will run from May 12th to May 25th, and players can download the game from the Apple Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android) in preparation.

A mysterious tree, reminiscent of the Qliphoth from Devil May Cry 5, casts a dark shadow over the Street Fighter: Duel world. The villainous M. Bison seeks to harness the tree’s sinister power, prompting Ryu, Chun-Li, and other World Warriors to stop him. Dante, the stylish fighter, enters the fray on his motorcycle, offering his skills to the Street Fighter: Duel characters. The update’s features include unlocking Dante, mastering his unique EX-move “Power Smash,” and taking on “Devil Invasion” tasks to earn in-game rewards.

Players can complete tasks during the event to earn “Demon Soulstones,” which they can then use to purchase rewards such as the “Strongest Demon Hunter” avatar at “Nico’s Store.” Additionally, the event includes “The Agency,” where players can explore the world, earn “Demon Stars,” and utilize them to power up their fighters through Nico.

Street Fighter: Duel launched in select territories on 1 March 2023, and features over 40 fighters from the Street Fighter series, including Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma. New fighters are added regularly to the game, and the “Devil Invasion” event seeks to offer exclusive rewards for new or returning players, including currency to acquire and level up new fighters.
