Kao the Kangaroo is hopping his way back onto the PC and console, with the release of the series’ latest downloadable content (DLC) pack, Bend the Roo’les, which is now available across all platforms for $7.99/€7.99/£6.59. The new DLC expands the game with a new campaign and boss enemy, the Crab King. It also introduces five new levels that present players with a range of challenges, including a time challenge, rising lava, dimming light, and a 2D level.
To celebrate the launch, Tate Multimedia is offering the base game Kao the Kangaroo for free on the Epic Game Store for PC players until 11 May 2023. This is only available on the PC however, and does not cover console releases.
Moreover, the Kao the Kangaroo: Anniversary Edition has also been released, featuring the base game along with the previously released Oh! Well DLC and the new Bend the Roo’les DLC. The PC edition of the Anniversary Edition also includes bonus content, such as an Art Book and the game’s soundtrack.
This all follows the recent release of Kao the Kangaroo: The Trilogy on both Steam and the Epic Game Store digital storefronts. This collection offers the original 2000-2005 releases in the series, including Kao the Kangaroo (2000), Kao the Kangaroo: Round 2 (2003), and Kao the Kangaroo: Mystery of Volcano (2005).
