Dreamloop Shares First Look at Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue

Developer Dreamloop Games together with publisher Aksys Games has shared a first look at their upcoming social thriller game, Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue. The teaser seeks to provide a glimpse into the game’s voice acting and dialogue, as well as introducing the protagonist, Harrison, and another “contestant” on the island where the game is set. The story revolves around 11 abductees who are forced to participate in a twisted dark web TV series.

The game’s setting is an island where contestants have no rules or laws to follow. Their only objectives are to survive and entertain a depraved audience watching the dark web TV show. Inescapable explores themes of human nature, the pursuit of social clout, wealth, and personal desires, as well as the lengths people may go when they are allowed to disregard societal norms and rules.

Delivered in a visual novel playstyle, Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue will offer players multiple narrative paths to follow based on their decision, a character-driven story, and a diverse cast of characters, each with distinct personalities and backstories.

The game will feature hours of voice-acted dialogue and a full-length original soundtrack, with music contributions from Shinji Hosoe of Zero Escape fame and Matias Lehtoranta.

Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue will be released on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One later this year.
