Rolling out special plans for PlayStation Plus subscribers for the remainder of this month, Sony Interactive Entertainment has kicked off the PlayStation Plus Festival of Play, which has commenced now. With more specifics detailed below, this event will see some big hitters added to the Extra/Deluxe subscriber game catalogue, along with new game trials, a PlayStation Store sale and a campaign for the PlayStation Stars program. Game Catalogue Updates
Next week, a range of new games will be added to the PlayStation Plus games catalogue, accessible to subscribers of the Extra and Deluxe tier services. This includes, a year following its initial release, Horizon Forbidden West. Additional titles include Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, Borderlands 3, and more are scheduled to also be added next month.
Furthermore, PlayStation Deluxe subscribers can also check out a 3-hour time limited trial of God of War Ragnarök. Trophies and save progress from this trial will carry over if players decide to purchase the full game. It is unclear if or when God of War Ragnarök will also be added to the Game Catalogue.
PlayStation Stars Campaign
PlayStation Plus members will receive a “Festival of Play Party Favour” digital collectible for checking into the ‘A Gift from PlayStation Plus’ campaign and playing any game.
Furthermore, with Horizon Forbidden West joining the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue starting on February 21, players can get “A Gift from the Past” digital collectible by checking into the “Welcome to the Forbidden West” campaign and earning the following trophies (Note: This is not available to those who have earnt the trophies before):
- “Save the Daunt”
- “Attend the Embassy”
- “Obtain 3 Stripes at a Hunting Ground”
- “Used Dyed Flowers”
- “First Rebel Camp Completed”
- “First Tall Neck Overwritten”
Double Discount
From now until 1 March 2023, a Double Discount promotion is being run on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Select games as part of this sale will have their discounts doubled for active subscribers. Players who are both PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Stars members can earn PlayStation Stars points with eligible purchases on PlayStation Store.

Free Multiplayer Weekend
From 18-19 February, PlayStation will be holding an online multiplayer free weekend, so players can go head-to-head with other players online during these dates even without a PlayStation Plus membership.
Furthermore, over this period, there will be a number of PlayStation Tournaments happening, including for FIFA 23, NBA 2K23, and Guilty Gear. Also, since the online multiplayer weekend starts during this same timeframe, those without PlayStation plus memberships will also be able to participate in the tournaments happening in this timeframe, Players who participate will get a chance to win a PlayStation Plus membership.
