The latest video game in the Sword Art Online multimedia franchise, Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris – first launched on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC in 2019, and it proved to be a rather average experience. Now two years later, a new wave of players are being invited to the “Underworld”, with a Nintendo Switch port now available to purchase.
Players will fill the shoes of Kirito once more, and join with Eugeo, Alice, Administrator and many more characters in this part-retelling / part-new-content video game instalment. Supervised by renowned author Reki Kawahara, an original story line was added to the manga canon narrative. Players will meet and team up with Medina, heiress of the Orthinanos disgraced family, and intends to clear her name by becoming an Integrity Knight.
Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris offers both the full base game, in addition to the four first “Ancient Apostles” chapters, originally available as free update content, on-disc.
