Providing a new set of crossover content for their recently released mobile-exclusive RPG, Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, Square Enix has confirmed that the characters from another one of their retro-style RPG franchises, Bravely Default, are being made available in-game for a limited time. Players will be able to unlock and add these characters in their party, with two now available to unlock, and an additional two to be made available in the coming weeks.
The two characters available now, both from Bravely Default II, include:
Elvis – Players can invite the scholar Elvis into their band after finishing the prologue of his Traveler’s Story, unlockable for players after completing “Master of Fame: Chapter 1” and “The Wandering Blacksmith” from the Nameless Town side quests.
Adelle – The mercenary at Elvis’ side, Adelle, can be recruited via her Chosen Traveler Guiding Light.
Furthermore, from the very first Bravely Default game, Edea will be made available from 12 October 2022 and Agnes will be available from 19 October 2022. Both characters, along with Adelle, will be available to obtain until 1 November 2022 when the crossover event concludes.
OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent is set in the world of Orsterra, a few years prior to the events of Octopath Traveller. Travel Orsterra as “the Chosen One,” and fight to stop ruthless tyrants who seek to unleash a bottomless darkness upon the land. It can now be downloaded on the iOS App Store and Android Google Play Store.
