New Season of ‘Roller Champions’ – Dragon’s Way – To Go Live On All Platforms Tomorrow

Like many other live service platforms, ongoing development and community engagement in Ubisoft’s free-to-play Roller Champions is broken up into seasons. The latest season, titled Dragon’s Way, is set to go live on game servers from 3am AEDT tomorrow morning (Wednesday 5 October 2022). The content will be available on all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC.

According to Ubisoft, the “Roller Champions’ community will discover the new theme of the season inspired by martial arts and age-old traditions from Asia”. This season will introduce new themed maps, and technical improvements such as full cross-platform features. Furthermore, an “improved” live schedule of modes and minigames are being introduced.

Players will be able to refine their skills in the brand-new Bangkok Arena, Zen Temple, and Dragon Temple.  In hopes of letting players “experience Dragon’s Way new environments”, only the newly introduced maps will be available to players for the first two weeks, with all other arenas returning to playable status after it.

In hopes of “[spicing] up player’s routine”, every week of Dragon’s Way will present a different mode or skatepark minigame, all of which will continue to reward players with fans and contribute to their progress in the Roller Pass. Ubisoft hopes that “Dragon’s Way offers players more superstars, Roller Champions’ themed characters, to choose from than any season before, which now come with their own customised backgrounds”.
