Until 27 September 2022, players of the free-to-play open-world adventure-exploration game Genshin Impact will be able to use their (hopefully) carefully and wisely hoarded Primogems to nab themselves either or both Ganyu (Cryo Bow user) and Sangonomiya Kokomi (Hydro Catalyst) user – should they wish to. Each has their own individual event wish category – Adrift in the Harbor and Drifting Luminescence. These event wish events are the only times you can currently obtain these characters, each being made available for their third outing.
In addition to these two event wish options, the Weapon Event Wish has been updated with the ‘Epitome Invocation’ set, providing boosted drop rates for the Amos Bow (Bow) and Everlasting Moonglow (Catalyst) – which complement the abilities of Ganyu and Sangonomiya Kokomi respectively.
The two new character events will also see boosted drop rates for the newly playable 4-star character Dori (Electro, Claymore) along with Sucrose (Anemo, Catalyst) and Xingqiu (Hydro, Sword).
Genshin Impact is being developed by Hoyoverse (Formerly MiHoYo) as a mostly single-player (with online multiplayer elements) open-world adventure game reminiscent of the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wilds, albeit having deviated into many of its own individual ideas and concepts. The game is available as a free download on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android platforms – and is supported via premium currencies and a wish “gacha” system.
