During their yearly panel at Anime Central in the Midwest, Sekai Project shared three new projects they currently have in the works – one PC video game project, one PC visual novel and one light novel – all three to be released in the coming months. You can read about each of these below:
Lys and Ruka’s Magical Bag (The Video Game)
Lys and Ruka’s Magical Bag is a new action roguelike in development from the creative mind of the challenging Tobari series, desunoya.
In preparation for a global catastrophe, Lystia, a spirit user and her partner Ruka, a spirit, travel the world in search of spirits. During their journey, they come across a desolate town called Litos. A girl tells Lystia and Ruka about the strange things happening outside of their town.
The ruins on the outskirts of town have been transformed into a massive dungeon known as the Tower of Desires– a tower that surprisingly changes shape every time you enter it.
Featuring an innovative item organization system, players will use their smarts sorting items in their inventory like a puzzle game to produce devastating effects to all enemies in Lystia and Ruka’s way. By using various weapons, magic, augmentations and much more, players will proceed through hoards upon hoards of challenging enemies, while growing the town with every quest completed.
No release date is currently planned for Lys and Rukas Magical Bag, with the game itself in a “very early alpha state”. You can follow the game’s development via its Steam page.
Memory’s Dogma (The Light Novel)
Following up with their release of Memory’s Dogma: Code 01 on Steam, Sekai Project has teamed up with LizArts to create Memory’s Dogma: CODE 02, CODE 03, CODE 04, and CODE 05 in Light Novel format.
When asked why these chapters are not visual novels, the panellist explained development issues ultimately stalled the rest of the series to be produced as future game releases. To give fans the ability to finish the rest of the tale and enjoy the remaining paths to be seen in the story, Sekai Project decided with LizArts to create individual character tales for each volume.
Each light novel will feature individual character routes until CODE 05. In order it is Kokonoe Akane for CODE 02, Ema for CODE 03, Kanzaki Haruna for CODE 04, and the grand finale of the story for CODE 05.

One Last Crane (The Visual Novel)
From Blissful Work’s, a new studio based out of Indonesia comes a visual novel promising to both warm and break your heart at the same time.
One Last Crane is a visual novel centered on Yuuki Murakami, a boy diagnosed with a terminal illness. After a long year of treatment without any positive results, Yuuki asks for a final wish: To return to his hometown and fulfill his promise to meet again with his childhood friend, Saki Nishimura.
Unfortunately, Saki no longer lives where she used to, and no one knows her whereabouts. The last hint Yuuki had was the high school Saki had said she wanted to attend—Shimizu High School. Together with his adopted little sister, Mary, and his new outgoing neighbor, Chihiro, Yuuki keeps searching until he meets Asuka Fujimoto, the most popular girl at school, who happens to look like Saki.
Not once has Yuuki doubted that Asuka really is Saki, but Asuka gives him the cold shoulder without admitting that she’s Saki. Could she really be a completely different person? Knowing his time is short, Yuuki is determined to find Saki, even within another.
One Last Crane is scheduled to launch on the Windows PC via Steam starting 4 July 2022.
