Circuit Superstars to Launch on PS4 Next Month

While they are just missing out on the peak Christmas / New Year period of gaming, for those who are on the prowl for a new racing game in early-2022, Circuit Superstars may be one to keep on your radar. Square Enix and Original Fire Games has confirmed that the top-down racing game, already available on the Windows PC and Xbox One, will be headed to the PlayStation 4 starting 27 January 2022. A Nintendo Switch version is also slated for launch in Q2 2022.

Circuit Superstars sets out to celebrate “generations of multi-disciplinary motorsport, focusing on tactile driving that feels great – but also with a high skill ceiling, that will have players spending hours honing their perfect lap”. Cross-console support with the PC and Xbox One versions will be available provided you have a PlayStation Plus membership.

At launch, Circuit Superstars will offer players access to 12 vehicles, and 19 tracks set in 13 locations. Players can also enjoy a range of customisable liveries for both driver and cars, in addition to helmets and victory celebrations which can be unlocked by levelling up. Multiple motorsports disciplines are also represented in the game, including: Rallycross, Open Wheel Single-Seaters, Trucks, GT racing and more.

The game’s development team has also committed to offering new, free content in the coming months for players.
