Sony Confirm Availability of Midnight Black PULSE 3D Wireless Headset Next Month

If colour coordination of your gaming accessories is important to you, then you may be interested in this latest announcement from Sony Interactive Entertainment. The company has confirmed that a Midnight Black colour PULSE 3D Wireless Headset will be joining their line-up from Friday 29 October 2021 at an RRP of $159.95 AUD or local equivalent. This follows on from the release on the galaxy-themed colours introduced for the PlayStation 5 Dualsense controllers in June.

According to Sony Interactive Entertainment:

Midnight Black features two subtly different shades of black with light grey detailing to reflect the vision of space through the night sky and matches the same colour scheme as the DualSense controller in Midnight Black.

The PULSE 3D Wireless Headset is specifically designed to take full advantage of the console’s Tempest 3D AudioTech, with a fine-tuned frequency response to help players more precisely place sounds in exact locations to match on-screen gameplay.

This update coincides with the second major system software update for the PlayStation 5, which introduced a new equalizer control feature for the PULSE 3D Wireless Headset within the PlayStation 5’s sound settings.
