Play Far Cry 5 for Free This Weekend

Just in time for gamers to make their weekend gaming plans, developer/publisher Ubisoft has today confirmed that Far Cry 5 will be available to play completely for free from tomorrow until 9 August 2021 on all supported platforms. Participants in this free weekend event will gain access to the entire game in both single-player and two-player co-op modes.

Pre-loading for new players is now available where the platform supports it, with start times to vary slightly between platforms:

PC via Ubisoft Store: August 5 at 11 p.m. AEST

PC via Epic Games Store: August 6 at3 a.m. AEST

PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4: August 5 at 5.01 p.m. AEST

Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One: August 5 at 5:01 p.m. AEST

Players who think Far Cry 5 is worth their time and wish to continue their adventures will be able to purchase the game and its season pass with discounts of up to 85% off.
