Developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Ghost of Tsushima was one of the major hits of the PlayStation 4 library in 2020. Moving the game across to the PlayStation 5 and giving a much rich experience to newcomers of the game, a Director’s Cut version for both the PS4 and PS5 is in the works. Overnight, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced this edition will be available digitally and physically from 20 August 2021.
This new edition will feature the original game, in addition to every piece of additional Ghost of Tsushima content released to date on-disc. As well as this, the Director’s Cut will include a brand-new adventure for Jin alongside a bunch of new features.
The PlayStation 5 version of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut will feature a few additional enhancements over the PS4 version. This includes: improvements to the Jpanaese lip syncing, haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the Dualsense Controller, enhancements to 3D audio, improved load times, 4K resolution graphical options and framerates targeting 60FPS. PS4 save data will be transferrable over to the PlayStation 5 as well.
