Ahead of the game’s release in Early-June 2021, developer Arc System Works and EU/AU publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has confirmed that a second Open Beta Test period for Guilty Gear -Strive- will go ahead on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 from 14 May 2021 @ 1pm AEST until 17 May 2021 @ 1am AEST respectively.
In this new Beta Test, players will be able to try their hand at the complete character roster. Unlike the original open beta test, Anji Mito and I-No join the list of playable characters.
The Open Beta test this time around also comes with changes to character balancing, a revamped online lobby system and access to the following modes:
- Offline Modes:
- VS COM / VS 2P
- Tutorial Mode
- Training Mode
- Network Mode:
- Online Match
Pre-download for the Open Beta Test #2 will start on May 7 at 10:00 a.m. in each country and players that still have the previous Open Beta Test version downloaded will have a patch that will update the version for the new Beta Test.
