In 2020, developer NotGames and publisher tinyBuild released their ambitious FMV Puzzle/Simulation game Not For Broadcast onto the Steam digital storefront. Despite not being a final build of the game, containing only 1/3rd of the main chapters, it proved to be one of my personal hits of the year. The game saw players tasked with managing a broadcast control room, shifting camera angles, choosing which zany advertisements to play, bleeping out swears and trying to work out just how to best display stories which quickly descend into chaos.
After the major cliff-hanger players were left with at the end of Episode 2 when that went live in January 2021, the question was when the final set of chapters would be made available. NotGames has today shared their development roadmap to Version 1.0, which charts seasonal instalments leading to a planned full release in January/February 2022.
