Months after its launch on last and new generation consoles in 2020, Ubisoft has today rolled out Watch Dogs: Legion’s online mode on consoles (with the PC version expected soon). This separate mode will let players explore the streets of London with friends. Players will be able to team up with three other players to traverse the city, encounter events, complete challenges and participate in various side activities.
So you may be wondering… if you have already finished Watch Dogs: Legion, what is there to justify you popping the disc back into your console and resuming your adventure? The online mode offers new co-op missions for between two and four players, using new co-op gameplay mechanics and (according to the developer) “giving players the opportunity to recruit the perfect team and fight back against London’s threats across the most iconic landmarks of the city”.
The Watch Dogs: Legion online mode also features Player-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay through the Spiderbot Arena, where four players control armed spider bots and compete in a free-for-all deathmatch.
This update will be followed by another update on 23 March titled “Leader of the Pack”, there the first four-player co-op Tactical Op which will require teamwork and efficiency, will be made available.
