Every few weeks, the open-world adventure game Genshin Impact opens a new event banner, providing players with a limited time opportunity to get an increased chance of pulling one special 5-star character and a selection of more common 4-star characters. This system is in place because, despite being a mostly single-player game, Genshin Impact is free-to-play and supported by microtransactions.
The second event wish banner for Genshin Impact Version 1.2: The Chalk Prince and the Dragon is titled Adrift in the Harbor and is being run in-game from today until 2 February 2021. The main feature of this banner is the new ice/cryo-element bow-user Ganyu, who will receive a “huge” drop-rate boost, and will be users best chance of adding her to their party. For those with lesser luck, you can also get copies of 4-star characters Xiangling, Xingqui and Noelle to add to your party.
Ganyu will be available for players to “Test Run” in approximately 10 hours from posting – and should help you determine if she is worth spending money or hoarded in-game gems on acquiring. Players who are at least Adventure Rank 40 or higher will also be able to dive into the first chapter of Ganyu’s story quest – “Sinae Unicornis Chapter”.
Genshin Impact is now available on the PC, PlayStation 4, iOS and Android.
