The event’s 2021 festivities will be held from 3-10 January 2021 via Twitch, but this time will be done completely virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions, with no official in-person gathering.

According to the AGDQ team, they are attempting to shake up the lack of people in the audience with their own “crowd experience” solution:

The event [also] feature[s] a brand new, virtual interactive crowd experience. GDQ Twitch subscribers can join the crowd on the GDQ website and use various emotes in the Twitch Chat to have the audience of Velocities (GDQ’s┬ámascot) cheer on the runners, viewable by everyone. The interactive crowd experience will be available at throughout the event.

AGDQ 2021 is being held this year in support of the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Donations can be made directly to the charity during the event via the viewing page available HERE. 100% of all online donations will go to the foundation.
