First released on the PlayStation 2 back in 2004, Katamari Damacy REROLL was ported across to the PC and Nintendo Switch back in 2018. After a further two years of waiting, long-time series publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has confirmed the roll-em-up puzzle game will be headed to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One digitally on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace respectively.
It may be more than a decade and a half later, but your goal in Katamari Damacy REROLL has not changed – you take control of the Prince and his unique designed friends as they roll their Katamari Ball, picking up items of increasing size until the time is up. In this instalment, the King of All Cosmos accidentally destroyed the stars from the sky, and by rolling up everything from thumbtacks to buildings, they can be transformed into stars to light up the night star.
While there does not appear to be any major new inclusions in the game, Bandai Namco Entertainment has confirmed that Katamari Damacy REROLL will “benefit from enchanting graphics, smooth controls and adjusted difficulty bringing the adventure to a whole new level of enjoyment!”.
Your adventure of rolling and star creation will begin on 20 November 2020.
