Complementing their announcement of the Xbox Series X and digital-only Xbox Series S pricing structure in the United States market, Microsoft’s regional Australian and New Zealand division has confirmed ANZ pricing for both consoles. For those who are hoping for a direct, current-day price conversion of the US prices, unfortunately that is not the case. Based on current exchange rates, Australians will be paying approximately $60-90 AUD more for the console.
The entry-level digital-only Xbox Series S will set you back around $499.00 AUD or $549.00 USD. On the other hand, the beefier Xbox Series X is a few hundred dollars more dearer at $749.00 AUD.
As with the United States and many other countries, both versions will be available to purchase outright from 10 November 2020. Alternatively, for those who don’t want to buy the console outright, you can subscribe to a 2-year Xbox All Access subscription through Telstra (Australia) and Spark (New Zealand). This will give you a physical Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X console and a 24 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription for a monthly rate.
