Danganronpa on Smart Devices Discounted Until 25 July 1

Following years of the series being exclusive to portable and home video game consoles, the western publishing wing of Spike Chunsoft began offering an iOS and Android version of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc from May 2020. Reasonably priced at $15.99 USD on iOS App Store and $17.99 USD on the Google Play store, there is a reasonably low barrier to purchasing this game, especially since it is a full game with no in-app purchases. But if you have been waiting for a discount… now may be the time to consider making a purchase.

Until 25 July 2020 as part of Spike Chunsoft’s Summer Sale, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc will be listed at 30% off on both platforms. This discount may vary slightly between regions, but irrespective should see just under 1/3rd knocked off the RRP.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc offers all the features found in the original PlayStation Vita release. However, it includes some user interface enhancements to support touchscreen controls, and a new gallery feature allowing you to view event illustrations, scenes and voice dialogue at your leisure.

You can read my thoughts on Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc in my original Platinum Review.

About Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc

Hope’s Peak Academy is home to Japan’s best and brightest high school students—the beacons of hope for the future. But that hope suddenly dies when Makoto Naegi and his classmates find themselves imprisoned in the school, cut off from the outside world and subject to the whims of a strange, murderous little bear named Monokuma.

He pits the students against each other, promising freedom to anyone who can murder a fellow classmate and get away with it. It’s up to you to find out who Monokuma really is, and why you’ve been taken from the world you once knew. But be careful what you wish for—sometimes there’s nothing more deadly than the truth…
