Through full-body costumes, players of Square Enix’s online game Final Fantasy XIV can unlock outfits enabling them to become chocobos, goblins, reindeer, snowmen, pigs and more. As of this month, there is now the option to become a cute (or perhaps not-so-cute) bunny rabbit, just in time for Easter. A new seasonal questline has commenced for Hatching-tide (The Eorzean version of Easter) which as with the Valentine’s Day event will be spread out into two chapters.
The first chapter, available from now until 5 April 2020 can commence at Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre in Old Gridania, and upon completion will nab participants two glamour items: Rabbit Head and Rabbit Suit. Presumably the second questline will unlock the alternately styled body glamour, the Dapper Rabbit Suit.
In addition to this event commencing, new home decorations including a Stuffed Rabbit doll and Hatching-tide Advertisment poster are available.
The 2020 Hatching-tide event for Final Fantasy XIV will run until Monday 13 April 2020. It requires nothing other than an active game subscription to participate.
