[Videos] Star Citizen at Citizencon 2949 1

In November 2012, Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) successfully concluded their Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for Star Citizen, netting themselves millions of dollars for the initial development of what would eventually become an incredibly ambitious yet controversial project. To date, CIG have managed to raise more than $250 million USD from their community, despite the project still being in alpha testing.

This time of year is marked through annual Citizencon festivities both online and a one day convention held somewhere different each year. Citizencon 2949 (or 2019) was held last month at the Manchester Central Convention Complex in the United Kingdom, which included a two-part main presentation by Chris Roberts, a number of panels from various members of the game’s development team and much more.

Over the last few weeks, CIG have uploaded recordings of all their Citizencon 2949 panels and keynotes, which offer an in-depth look at the state of the game and their approach to development. Even if you are not a current backer of Star Citizen, they do make for an interesting watch if you have (granted) a lot of time on your hands.
