Prior to the game’s official launch on 30 January 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Square Enix have made their Final Fantasy fighting spin-off game Dissidia Final Fantasy NT available to everyone as part of an open beta phase. This is available to all console owners, and can be downloaded via your the PlayStation Store.
The open beta will make select heroes and villains playable, and can be used in in both online and offline battles. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will feature stages from the numbered Final Fantasy titles, summons for players to call upon in battle, character customisation and more.
The open beta period will run until 22 January 2018, although will be broken down into three sessions, each with a different selection of characters to play as. The session dates/times are:
- From 13th January (1am AEDT / 3am NZDT) to 16th January (8am AEDT / 10am NZDT)
- From 16th January (9am AEDT / 11am NZDT) to 19th January (8am AEDT / 10am NZDT)
- From 19th January (9am AEDT / 11am NZDT) to 22nd January (8am AEDT / 10am NZDT)
