Following their extended time working with the game on the PlayStation Portable, PC and most recently the Nintendo 3DS, Mastiff have confirmed their hopes that Nihon Falcom’s Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure will once again have a physical release for fans to enjoy. Unveiling details through a Prefundia page, it has been confirmed that a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign will be held in the near future to make this goal into a reality.
It has been a decade since Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure was released on the PlayStation Portable. Head of Mastiff Bill Swartz has stated that they have been “thrilled at the reaction” the game has received from the press and fans, but has also claimed “we also regret that we were never able to release a physical version on the PC or Nintendo 3DS system”.
While you are not able to pledge towards the physical edition until the campaign begins, they have confirmed reward tiers. While digital copies of Gurumin will be available at lower price points, a physical edition will run you back at least $50. If you are willing to hand over at least $120, you will earn yourself a numbered, Limited Edition “Legendary Drill Edition” copy.
At the moment only the PC version is set to receive a physical release. However, undisclosed stretch goals to imply that a Nintendo 3DS edition may be among them.
