While Shadow of the Colossus was once a hard-to-find game on store shelves when first released on the PlayStation 2, its inclusion as part of The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus collection on the PlayStation 3 back in 2011 made it much easier to come by and in my opinion did the game justice. Whether the game needs one or not, Sony Interactive Entertainment used their E3 2017 press conference to confirm that an enhanced remake of the game is currently in development.
Although specifics are to be confirmed, this rebuilt edition of Shadow of the Colossus is currently being developed by Bluepoint Games and JAPAN Studio for the PlayStation 4. The release date is currently to be confirmed.
You can however take a sneak peek at the game through the above trailer and below screenshots.
