UPDATE: Sekai Project have noted via Twitter that Trapper Knight, Sharpshooter Princess has had to be delayed. The reason given is that “sudden bug fixes need to be done before the game’s release” [Source]. They claim that the “game will be released as soon as possible” [Source].
Offering a new low-price strategy-RPG on Steam, western video game and visual novel publisher Sekai Project and developer Desunoya will be making Trapper Knight, Sharpshooter Princess available for purchase via the digital distribution platform from today. This game is a turn-based strategy RPG where you must use traps in order to successfully complete battles.
Trapper Knight, Sharpshooter Princess will be purchasable via Steam (for the PC) for a standard price of $9.99 USD. For a limited time, they will be offering a 10% launch discount.
STORY
This is Granfesta Kingdom, a land near the sea with rich foreign trade. On account of its location and magnanimous, festival-loving king, it’s a peaceful place where many races coexist.
Our story begins with the capital of Granfesta…
…off in the background, in the rural town of Country Ceremo.
Gritz is a young man skilled with traps, having been taught by his huntsman father. Hoping to make a name for himself, he headed closer to the castle, but ended up working meager handyman jobs and living quietly in Country Ceremo.
One day, Gritz noticed a dispute taking place outside of an item shop. As he thought it over, into the fray came a girl using a bow, whom he had never seen before in Country Ceremo. Gritz joined the girl, and they worked together to drive off the scoundrels causing trouble for the shopkeeper. The archer, who called herself “Leah”, seemed to have come with some important goal. This meeting was but the first page of their story.

Simple turn-based strategy RPG! – You’ll be able to move characters on a grid-based map and give them actions to fight.
Trap your foes! – As half of the title implies, traps are a big part of the game. Since Gritz can use traps, you’ll be able to use those abilities to stop enemies in their tracks or deal damage when they pass through, and sometimes even send them flying! Learning to use traps will put you on the path to victory.
Multiple abilities available to form the best strategy! – Leah can use a bow to attack from 2 tiles away, Nini can use healing staves, Gaints can shove units 1 tile over, Eleano is good with magic, Amy can energize allies, Sho is able to open locks and so on… Come up with a winning strategy that makes use of all of your allies’ special talents!
