As one of their launch titles for the PlayStation VR, SEGA released Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live 1st Stage. To be released over multiple standalone instalments, each instalment in the VR Future Live line of games will provide purchasers with several songs they can watch Hatsune Miku and other Vocaloid characters perform on stage in first-person view. This is one of a handful of idol games released for the PlayStation VR, and although they might not offer much in terms of actual gameplay, they do make for a short but entertaining experience.

Releasing the second of the three currently planned VR Future Live titles, SEGA have published Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live 2nd Stage exclusively as a digital download on the PlayStation Store. Priced individually for $14.99 or as part of a Season Pass bundle for $39.99, this pack contains the following songs:

  • shake it! – by emon
  • Quirky Medley – Giga-Remix – by Giga-P/Reol, Mikito P
  • Hello, Worker – by KEI
  • Cat Food – by doriko
  • Tell Your World – by livetune
  • Time Machine – by 1640mP
  • An Encore Performance of: LOL -lots of laugh- by mikumix

Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live is now available for purchase on the PlayStation 4 (for the PlayStation VR) as a free download, however in order to have much to actually play, you will need to purchase one of the three available/planned Stage Packs. These is however a demo available, which includes a tutorial and one song (Weekender Girl by kz and Hachioji P) which should give you an insight of what to expect.
