November 2016 is set to be a month of PC games from North American video game publisher XSEED Games. The company have confirmed they will be releasing two titles via Steam and other digital distribution platforms in the first few weeks of the month. One of these is due to be available on the PC for the first time in western markets, while the other is a port from the PlayStation Vita.
Coming out first is the exploration-centric action-RPG Xanadu Next, developed by long-time developer Nihon Falcom. This 2005 RPG is a follow-up to the 80s video game Faxanadu, and will see players take on the role of a gravely injured knight who is given a new lease on life through ancient magic. But in order to ensure his survival (and ultimately provide gameplay experiences for the gamer), this hero must seek out a legendary sword known as ‘Dragon Slayer’.
Set on the medieval Europe-inspired Harlech Island, players will explore the many different and interconnected environments of the world around them while battling vicious enemies in real-time, utilizing various unique skills attached to the many weapons they find along the way. Through a variety of ability-enhancing items that allow access to new areas, “Guardians” that grant passive effects, stat customization with the ability to level-down for point redistribution, and more, a multitude of mysteries surrounding the ancient land of Xanadu lay waiting to be unraveled.
Xanadu Next will be available first on November 3rd 2016, with the title to be available via Steam, GOG.com and the Humble Store.
Next out from XSEED Games is the rhythm spin-off game Senran Kagura Bon Appetit! Full Course, which was originally available on the PlayStation Vita. This title will be available from November 10th 2016 via Steam for $29.99 USD, with other distributors to potentially be announced at a later date.
Continuing to detail the rivalry between girls’ academies, the young shinobi, Senran Kagura Bon Appetit! Full Course seets the young shinobi trade in their hand-to-hand combat for something a little bit more delicious. The shinobi master Hanzō has promised the winner of his first annual “Super Dish Gourmet Cook-Off” a magical scroll that can grant any one wish. Driven by their own desires – or perhaps just idle curiosity – 22 characters from Japan’s secret ninja schools join this competition.
Culinary warfare is carried out through an array of rhythm battles in which players tap the correct buttons in time with the beat to rack up combos and determine the size and quality of the resulting dish. After selecting a competitor, players are challenged to create the ultimate Super Dish and unlock a special feast for the eyes. The emphasis is on outrageous humor, tasty food, and plenty of eye candy, so get ready to slice and dice… up some delicious treats while rocking out to some funky beats!
This PC re-release of Senran Kagura Bon Appetit! Full Course includes not only the base game, but also the Gessen x Hebijo Expansion and all previously released downloadable content.
