Since shortly after the launch of the PlayStation 4, it has been possible to connect the DUALSHOCK 4 controller with your PC – although doing so wasn’t necessarily as intuitive as the Xbox One controller. Making things easy several years after having the controller on the market, Sony Interactive Entertainment have announced that they are releasing the DUALSHOCK 4 USB Wireless Adaptor. While its release may vary between regions, this accessory will be available in Australia from September 16 2016.

As is fairly obvious, this adaptor will allow you to connect a DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller to your PC or Mac through Bluetooth. All this really requires is a spare USB port on your computer and a little bit of time to go through the pairing process.

This adaptor will be complemented by select applications such as the PS4 Remote Play app, which will let you stream PS4 games to your computer. It also comes with many of the DUALSHOCK 4’s features as well.

The DUALSHOCK 4 USB Wireless Adaptor is neither cheap or expensive, and will be available from select retailers for $34.95 AUD.
