Patch 1.08 Goes Live for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Provides New Functions and DLC

As with most major AAA video game releases, Naughty Dog will continue supporting Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End post-launch through game patches and downloadable updates into at least the near future. Following the game’s launch on May 10 2016, the first major update has arrived, which enhances the multiplayer experience.

The most significant component of this update is Patch 1.08, which coming in at 1.3GB in size is more than just a simple bugfix update. This patch introduces a Level System to online multiplayer, which Naughty Dog claim to have implemented in response to what they have called “One of the most significant pieces of feedback” received to date. The level system, which you can progress through by a) completing matches, b) achieving high scores and c) earning medals, comes with 70 levels. Each level will reward you with items, ranging from relics to chests. Also featured in Patch 1.08 is a competitive Ranked Team Deathmatch mode, which will be run over seasons. Season One will last two months, concluding on August 20th 2016.

This update also provides access to Lost Treasures, their first post-launch content drop. It includes a brand new map release (Sunken Ruins), new gameplay items and character skins.
