ATLUS USA, Sega and Deep Silver Enter Publishing Agreement for European Markets

For the past few years, Nippon Ichi Software America has served as a regional publisher for quite a few of the games handled by ATLUS USA in North America. Whereas there was some degree of uncertainty before, it did in my opinion provide some guarantee that those of us in PAL regions wouldn’t miss out on games handled by the US-based company. This also provided some relief for Australian gamers as well through regional distributor Bandai Namco Entertainment Australia – as using the example of the Persona series – we have seen A LOT of publishers handle the franchise over the years.

A new announcement seems to provide certainty for more months and potentially years to come. ATLUS USA have confirmed a new publishing agreement involving themselves and Sega, which will see Deep Silver publish a number of titles in the European market. This announcement currently covers a number of their major upcoming titles including Persona 5Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse7th Dragon III Code: VFD and more in the coming months. Expect to hear more about release dates soon.

Dr. Klemens Kundratitz | CEO of Koch Media / Deep Silver

We are delighted to have signed this publishing partnership and look forward to using all our pan-European publishing network to maximize the potential of the ATLUS and SEGA games.

Naoto Hiraoka | CEO of ATLUS USA

In entering this partnership with Deep Silver, I am truly delighted we will be able to release our titles in the European regions. Not only does the deal span multiple titles, but Deep Silver has a strong presence in European and PAL retailers. They have a strong passion for being able to deliver physical games to our fans in those territories, which we hold in high regard.

Here’s hoping that this partnership will see more simultaneous release dates, and that Australia and New Zealand gamers might benefit from it as well.
