As one would expect, Final Fantasy XV is going to offer many regional and densely populated cities to explore. Highlighting just one of the locales players will be able to visit when the game launches on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Square Enix shared a preview of the Captial City of Accordo – Altissia.
Watchable through the above walkthrough video, Altissia is a canal-linked city which is buzzing with life. Not only will you be able to travel through gondola rides, but there are also inhabitants you can interact with and a range of other activities to uncover and/or take part in.
Another new trailer released for Final Fantasy XV highlights how players will be able to eventually acquire a car known as Regalia Type-F – which will allow Noctis and co. to leave the roads behind and take to the skies. This video also seemingly sets out to showcase just how large the game world is.
Finally, Square Enix have also detailed a new “Wait Mode” to be included in Final Fantasy XV. While battles are supposed to take place in real-time, players who might be worried about the challenge can enable “Wait Mode” on the game’s option screen. This grants a strategic advantage by momentarily pausing the action, giving you time to think, choose a course of action and select a target before taking another step. While in “wait mode,” the player can freely target enemies, aim magic spells, select teammate abilities, and much more.
