Stranger of Sword City Headed to PC (via Steam) with New Visual Feature

While having PlayStation Vita JRPG’s ported over to the PC isn’t all that unusual, dungeon-crawlers developed by Experience have generally maintained their console exclusivity. Neither Demon Gaze or Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy have been published off the PS Vita, and there are no announced plans for this to change. However things will be different with Stranger of Sword City, which is set to launch on April 26th.

Nippon Ichi Software America have this morning confirmed that Stranger of Sword City will be released on Steam in June. Pricing has not yet been confirmed, not has a specific release date outside its month-long launch window.

Stranger of Sword City on the PC will come with a new “Picture Gate” feature. This will allow you to upload a character portrait which can be used for one of your party members. While this is little more than an aesthetic feature, it should allow you much more creative control over the composition of your party. An example provided by NIS America above shows a Prinny joining the party ranks, but that can potentially be any character of your choosing.

About Stranger of Sword City

Your flight crashes after passing through a mysterious portal. As the sole survivor, you awaken to an unfamiliar land lit by stars you’ve never seen. This land is Escario, the city of swords. Quickly marked as the Chosen One, the Stranger of Sword City, you must defend this place, and choose your allegiances carefully as you scour the land for a way home.
