In terms of video games published directly by Bandai Namco Entertainment in western markets, there are fewer on the Wii U than the PlayStation 4, PC or even the Nintendo 3DS. But this doesn’t mean that the Wii U doesn’t receive its own share of interesting exclusives. The publisher have recently announced that their free-to-play co-op dungeon crawler Lost Reavers has now entered its open beta phase. This means that everyone can now download the game via the Nintendo eShop in western markets.
Lost Reavers sets out to be an intense four-player co-op game where players must discover hidden treasures at the end of a series of dungeons and haul it safely back to their extraction point. Along the way, the team will encounter a variety of traps, clever foes and the dungeon bosses who will do everything in their power to thwart the quartet. But carrying treasure back isn’t the easiest of things, and the adventurer who decides to haul the loot back must use their wits and friends to survive the journey.
Players will have four characters to play through the game with: Sayuri, a sword-wielding modern day samurai; Dwayne, a heavy-weapon toting specimen of human artillery; Victoria, a svelte dual-wielding mistress of pistols, and a mysterious masked fourth character, who wields many weapons to cut down his foes.
Open Beta for Lost Reavers will continue until April 28th, which will be followed by a full version at a later date.
