With Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End only a couple of months away from release, the development team at Naughty Dog have started to release a set of five behind-the-scenes developer diaries for the game. Created by the PlayStation team at Sony Computer Entertainment, they have had access to the Naughty Dog studio, assets and development team members in order to provide an insight into the upcoming third-person shooter action-adventure title.
The first episode, available above, is titled ‘The Evolution of a Franchise’. It seeks to share a brief look at how Naughty Dog and the Uncharted series has evolved, since Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune made its debut on the PS3 in 2007. It also gives mention to The Last of Us, which was the last major title developed by the studio prior to Uncharted 4.
The other four-episodes will go live throughout March and April, with upcoming episodes titled:
- The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End: Growing up with Drake
- The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End: Pushing Technical Boundaries Part 1
- The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End: Pushing Technical Boundaries Part 2
- The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End: In the End
Developed exclusively for the PlayStation 4, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be available for purchase starting May 10th 2016.
