Providing a new means of players battling one another in the realm of Hydaelyn, a recent update to Final Fantasy XIV has delivered a new PvP mode known as “The Feast”. This mode will be available to players who have unlocked the “Wolves’ Den”.
In “The Feast”, the players primary objective is to band together with either three or seven other players, to steal their opponent’s medals. While this might be familiar to other PvP modes present in other games, they have included a few features which might add an additional layer of strategy to each battle. Not only are there a variety of boosts present in supply boxes, but the number of medals one is holding and how long has passed since a KO took place determining how much damage a character will take.
“The Feast” will also feature a ranked PvP ststem, which is first introduced in Patch 3.21. The initial update will mark the beginning of the pre-season period, where players can get acquainted with the ranking system, before Season One officially commences in Patch 3.25. Top competitors will receive special awards at each season’s end.
