Over the past couple of years, we have begun to see more and more JRPG’s ported over to the Steam digital distribution platform as PC ports. Clearly there has been a large enough community to justify these ports, and especially with games only released on the PlayStation Vita, it has tended to prove greater graphical fidelity and aesthetics than what portable consoles currently offer in terms of visuals.

During their recent press event, Nippon Ichi Software America confirmed that their PlayStation Vita exclusive releases of htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary and Criminal Girls will be released on Steam over the coming months. While a release date for Criminal Girls is not yet known, they have confirmed that the adventure strategy/puzzle game htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary will be available for purchase starting March 14th 2016. You can see its Steam page HERE.

htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary

In the depths of a labyrinthine ruin, a young girl named Mion rises from a deep sleep. Lost, alone, and with no memory of how she got here or where her parents are, she is greeted by two fireflies — one composed entirely of light, and another who lurks among the shadows. By shifting between a world of light and a world of shadows, these two fireflies must work together to recover Mion’s memories and lead her out of the ruins, where voracious shadow beasts, ancient machines, and treacherous traps lie in wait to bar her path. But what secrets do Mion’s lost memories contain? What is the connection between her, the ruins, and the fireflies lighting her escape? The answers may reveal a deeper darkness — one that must be faced from within…
