North American video game publisher ATLUS USA have confirmed that Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir, an enhanced port of the PlayStation 2 classic, will be available in North America starting 7 June 2016 on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita gaming platforms. Unfortunately they have yet to confirm a PAL region release date at this time.
For a limited time at participating retailers, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir will be available with a 64-page softcover artbook. They will also be selling a special “Storybook Edition” which is limited to the PlayStatation 4 edition (Pictured). The Storybook Edition includes a hardcover version of the aforementioned artbook, a special ‘Potion Recipe’ t-shirt, a metal slipcase for the game, a (mystery) art print and premium outer packaging.
Developed by Vanillaware, Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is a side-scrolling action RPG steeped in norse mythology, with “intricate plots that wouldn’t be out of place in a Wagner opera”. The game follows five characters, whose tales intertwine with one another, as the world of Erion hurtles towards the end of days as warring kingdoms clash for control.
