It has now been one week since Halo 5: Guardians was launched by Microsoft’s Xbox team worldwide. The company have today confirmed this newest instalment has seen the biggest Halo launch to date, with it also becoming the fastest-selling Xbox One exclusive game to date. In total, there has been more than $400 million in global sales of Halo 5: Guardians games and hardware, pushing the franchise to over $5 billion lifetime.
In terms of usage stats, fans and so far logged more than 21 million hours of total gameplay, including 12 million hours in campaign mode alone. The multiplayer modes have also seen 9 million total hours played, across nearly 7 million multiplayer matches (Across both the Arena and Warzone Modes). The Requisition System has also been well utilised by players, with over 45 million REQ Packs acquired, totaling more than 568 million REQ cards.
