Shifting to a duo of titles (Unity & Rogue) to just one with regard to their annual Assassin’s Creed release, Ubisoft have confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is now available for purchase on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This will be followed by a PC release on November 19, with the franchise seemingly bidding last generation consoles farewell. As fans of the franchise will likely know, this latest instalment will see players take control of twin Master Assassins, Jacob and Evie Frye, as they fight to liberate London.
Developed by Ubisoft Quebec rather than Ubisoft Montreal, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate allows players to use a range of new weapons and skills to complement each character’s own personal talents. New weapons on offer include the kukri knife, brass knuckles and a cane sword.
Those who purchase the game on the PlayStation 4 will also be given access to a DLC pack titled The Dreadful Crimes, which sees you investigate a string of odd murders taking place in Victorian London. These ten missions are inspired by the Penny Dreadful stories, which were weekly pocket novels actually present in 19th Century London. Players will find clues and question multiple witnesses as they progress through stories based on the works of Victorian detective writers.
