Serving as the successor to RPG Maker VX Ace and the handful of other RPG Maker software development kits released over the years, Degica and Kadokawa Corporation have today unleashed RPG Maker MV onto their official store and Steam. Priced slightly more expensive than RPG Maker VX Ace ($69.99) and considerably more than the already versatile and heavily developed for RPG Maker XP ($24.99), you can now purchase RPG Maker MV for $79.99. Early adopters however can pick up the software for 10% off at $71.99.
There are far too many changes and additions to list here, but some major ones include support for Mac devices, multiple device support (Windows EXE, Mac APP, Android APK, iOS IPA and HTML5 for Web Browsers), two battle modes (VX Front View or side-view), mouse and touch input support and a higher base screen resolution (With assets being made 1.5x larger).
Expect to see a review of RPG Maker MV go live on The Otaku’s Study either today or tomorrow.
