Still in development for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita gaming consoles, with an estimated release date of sometime in 2016, a new sneak peek has been provided for World of Final Fantasy. Square Enix have recently shared a new batch of screenshots for the game, which can be found at the bottom of this post.
The screenshots focus on the heroes Reynn and Lann, who are guided into the world of Grymoire by a mysterious woman named Enna Kros. On their journey, the pair encounter characters, locations and monsters from various installments of the Final Fantasy franchise – including Lightning (Protagonist of Final Fantasy XIII) and the town of Cornelia (Final Fantasy I).
The new screenshots also serve to introduce Mirages, powerful creatures that can turn the tide of battle. Among the iconic Mirages are Shiva, Ramuh, Ifrit and Cerberus, ready to wipe out all enemies that oppose the duo. Also highlighted is the Cactuar Conductor, who provides train travel so Reynn and Laan can more easily navigate the world of Grymoire.
