With less than a month to go until their PlayStation Vita port of Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires begins to arrive on store shelves, Koei Tecmo have shared new details regarding the features specific to this edition.
Given the PlayStation Vita does come with a touchscreen, some touchscreen functionality has been introduced in this edition of DW8E. These controls can be used to do a number of actions in lieu of button presses such as calling your horse on the battlefield, activating your character’s “Rage” state and selecting/activating Strategems.
Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires on the PlayStation Vita will also support two-player ad hoc cooperative multiplayer, allowing nearby friends who also own the game to join in and assist your character in their unification of Three Kingdoms China. Ad hoc cooperative multiplayer will be supported in both ‘Empire Mode’ and ‘Free Mode’.
Like many recently released titles, Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires will support the PlayStation TV. For those who already own the PlayStation 3 and/or PlayStation 4 versions, Cross-Save and Cross-Play functionality is enabled across all versions, and content downloaded for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 can be downloaded on the PS Vita version free of charge.
