Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax Launches on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita

-

Bringing together a number of known (and not so well known) characters from light novels published by Dengeki Bunko in Japan, EGA have today announced that Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax is now available for purchase on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita platforms. As the title already implies, this is a 2D fighting game where players can pit a character from one series against a character of another.

Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax features characters from a number of franchises including Shakugan no Shana, DuRaRaRa!!, Sword Art Online, A Certain Magical Index, Ro-Kyu-Bu! and more. In total, there are 14 playable characters, while there are an additional 23 from various series who serve as summonable assists. Want to see Kirito and Asuna from Sword Art Online brawl against one another? Go for it! Want to see elementary schooler Tomoka Minato take down characters who are both older and have much greater combat experience according to their respective series? Go right ahead! There are no locks on support characters either, so you can pair up Shana with Holo from Spice & Wolf for example.

Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax is available in North America with both a special physical launch edition (PS3: $39.99, Vita: $29.99) which comes with a bonus soundtrack CD, and the standard digital PlayStation Store release. The fighting game is also available to download in PAL regions through the PlayStation Store.
