In a recent announcement made by Square Enix, it has been confirmed that a number of free DLC pieces will be available to those who purchase Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below.
The announcement made via the official Square Enix blog, confirms that all the post-launch DLC episodes made available with the Japanese release of Dragon Quest Heroes will be available on-disc at no extra charge for those in North America and Europe. The DLC episodes will become available once players reach a certain point in the story mode and meet a few conditions.
Completing these DLC, which are presented as episodes, will unlock new costumes, provide a chance to battle against new enemies/bosses and even unlock Psaro the Manslayer as a playable character.
Developed by Omega Force (Known for the Dynasty Warriors Action / Hack and Slash video games), Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below is set for release exclusively on the PlayStation 4 in mid-October. The game was also released on the PlayStation 3 in Japan, but Square Enix have not confirmed any plans to support the console with their English localisation.
